Niverville Communities in Bloom Program

Niverville Communities in Bloom is organized by a volunteer group of community-minded people. It has been part of Manitoba Communities in Bloom since 2015.

For 2017, the Green Thumb of the Week and A Bloomin Business recognition began on June 4. New for 2017 were the following activities.

1. For the months of June, July and August, two of the green thumb gardens per month received a special gift package from Miracle-Gro courtesy of Scotts Canada. Six prizes in total were given away.
2. In recognition of Canada’s 150th birthday, a maple tree was given away the week of July 2 for the most impressive Canada theme garden for that week.
3. Children’s category: Children who have a home garden could submit pictures and location details for weekly recognition. Sixteen Children’s gardening prizes were given away.

Week 1: Blue River Group*

For the third straight year, Blue River Group has been nominated for A Bloomin Business recognition for the beautiful flower display in front of their office. Thank you to management and the "green thumb" for improving the appearance of our Main Street and creating this display for the community to enjoy.
