Niverville is a short drive from Winnipeg, about 30 km south of the Perimeter Highway.  Niverville is a rapidly growing community and showed the largest population increase in Manitoba between the 2011 and 2016 Census of Population at 30.2 percent.

This primarily farming community has seen an influx of people moving from the city looking to raise a family outside of the 'big city' influence. This migration has made Niverville one of the youngest and fastest growing communities in Manitoba.

The town is located at the crossing of Provincial Road 311 and the CPR Emerson rail line, between provincial trunk highways 75 and 59, providing two high-speed transport routes to and from the provincial capital as well the United States, about 80 km to the south.
